ECG Releases Planned Maintenance Schedule for July 20–23, 2026
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned maintenance exercises across selected communities in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central, and Tema Regions between Monday, July 20 and Thursday, July 23, 2026 . According to ECG, the maintenance works are part of ongoing efforts to improve the reliability, efficiency, and stability of electricity supply . During the exercise, power supply will be temporarily interrupted in the affected communities. The power distributor has apologized to customers for the inconvenience and urged residents and businesses to make the necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled outages. Regions Affected The planned maintenance will affect communities within: Greater Accra Region Ashanti Region Central Region Tema Region The outages are expected to last between 6 and 10 hours , depending on the location and maintenance activities.
