| James Handy Found Dead in Los Angeles |
Authorities confirmed that Handy was found unconscious with a stab wound to the chest outside a residence in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles on June 3, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call in which the caller reportedly made a confession before police arrived at the scene.
When officers reached the residence, they discovered Handy injured in the front yard and immediately transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police arrested 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, identified as the son of Handy's longtime girlfriend, in connection with the killing.
Investigators said the suspect lived at the same residence as Handy and his mother.
He has since been charged with murder, and bail was reportedly set at $2 million. Authorities have stated that the investigation remains ongoing.
