De’Anthony Melton News: Available Wednesday

Golden State Warriors guard De’Anthony Melton has been upgraded from questionable and is expected to be available for Wednesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, shedding a left gluteal contusion designation.

After missing time due to injury, the 27‑year‑old veteran has started the past three games — averaging about 10.7 points, 2.7 steals, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in roughly 24.7 minutes per game — and his return boosts the Warriors’ depth ahead of the All‑Star break

Melton’s defense and versatility have been key in recent matchups, and his presence on Wednesday should help Golden State better match up against San Antonio’s backcourt.

If Melton had been ruled out, Brandin Podziemski was the likeliest candidate to slide into the starting lineup — highlighting how important Melton’s return is for the Warriors’ rotation.
