Latest on Stargate SG‑1 Returning to Netflix

Netflix has confirmed that Stargate SG‑1 — one of science fiction’s most enduring TV franchises — is returning to its streaming catalogue after a multi‑year absence.

 

The full 10‑season run, encompassing 214 episodes, will be available to stream starting 15 February 2026 in the United States and selected international territories, including the United Kingdom and parts of Latin America. 

Originally airing from 1997 to 2007 and adapted from the 1994 Stargate film, SG‑1 follows Colonel Jack O’Neill and his team as they explore the galaxy through an ancient alien portal known as the Stargate. 

The series helped establish a devoted fan base and remains a cornerstone of genre television. 

The return comes after the show left Netflix in late 2022, when licensing rights shifted following changes at MGM, now under Amazon.

 The new agreement brings SG‑1 back to Netflix’s platform while spin‑offs like Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe remain on other services for the moment. 

Fans have welcomed the news enthusiastically, praising the chance to revisit or discover the classic sci‑fi saga in one place again. 

With all seasons dropping at once, the return is expected to spark renewed interest in the franchise ahead of future projects tied to the Stargate universe.
